BUILDING CABINETS | Episode 13
Building cabinets in my garage series. Episode 13. This series follows the full build process of a large set of stain grade maple laundry room cabinets. In this video I start to use up the scraps and complete all of the hang rails and bracing. The edge banding I put on the hang rail on the upper cabinets is a pre-glued/ pre-finished birch tape that is a perfect match with the pre-finished plywood on the rest of the set. (A 250 ft roll is around $38 )The edgebanding has to be covered with a cloth when ironing or the finish will burn. I’m using a solid carbide spiral upcut bit on the router table to flush the edgebanding. There’s usually just enough scrap plywood left over to make all of these bracing parts.
It is what it is.
