I like how they did a couple that’s been together for 10 years and a couple that just met 🙂

    imnotu24 - August 16, 2014

@Shi|Mag actually, i think this was just to show the difference in communication between an old couple and a new couple. The Ikea race was just a catalyst to demonstrate how being with the same person for a long time increases your communication with that person over someone you don’t know as well. So this was a very effective demonstration, and enjoyable 🙂

    Kirashi - August 16, 2014

@imnotu24 I don’t think that’s as straight forward as you’re saying. You’d have to make sure both couples were on the same level in a series of factors, for the communication skills to actually matter.
I agree the video was enjoyable though 🙂

    imnotu24 - August 17, 2014

@Shi|Mag well, true, but this is just Buzzfeed, I would never expect them to do such high level human experiments where they remove all other variables other than relationship length. I thought this was a cute, small, and simple way to show that in a rough sense, communication gets better between people over time due to a better understanding of their partner’s vocal and physical ques.

Or maybe this was just a video of random people in a race to build furniture, and no other thought whatsoever went into the making of it 🙂

    Kirashi - August 17, 2014

@imnotu24 Fair enough. Cheers mate ^^

    imnotu24 - August 20, 2014

    @Shi|Mag Ha cheers 🙂

    kotosqopos - August 16, 2014

@nigoroku I am just pointing out how “manly” and “girly” things are adjectives given by society that should not apply to you regardless of your gender.

    Tan Turkmenoglu - February 9, 2015

    Comrade ShadowKat - March 26, 2015

I wouldn’t call you a freak just for that now me I like taking things apart but putting things together doesn’t sound like something to be called freaky

Putting together ikea furniture relaxes me

    Nigeria Sheppard - May 16, 2015

Me too! I make my BF let me do it by myself unless I’m not strong enough for a particular part.

sky nora - April 18, 2015

What is it with Swedish ppl down there saying they can built it in like 20 minutes I don’t get it! Like I see these things in every buzzfeed video that has to do with Americans!

    J.J. Shank - October 7, 2015

+sky nora Because when some Europeans say Americans are intolerant and judgmental, they use that as an excuse to be intolerant and judgmental and frankly straight-up hateful of Americans. It’s like if you and a friend got bitten by a dog once, and now the two of you talk about nothing but how much you hate *all* dogs and how they should *all* die horribly. Whenever someone tries to defend dogs, you bring up the fact that other people have also been bitten by dogs and you conclude that yes, *all* dogs are terrible. It’s hyperbolic and childish and, again, utterly hateful toward your fellow man. Not every European does this, and I’m not convinced every European that *does* act this way actually hates Americans, but those that genuinely do tend to be hypocritical about it.

    That Guy - October 15, 2015

+Jordan Shank I’m European (Swede) and I just want to say your last name is pretty badass.
