Harmony Express Skoolie (Ep 25) – Bathroom and Kitchen Cabinets

We're Mike and Allison. Two folks building our dream RV to travel about the country!

This episode finds your intrepid School Bus Converters building in the bathroom shower and vanity complete with TINY sink. THEN we head to the Kitchen to build cabinets, drawers and doors.

We employ creative ways to upcycle bus parts to useful tools for building the Skoolie.

It’s coming together nicely. Good job. It feels great when cabinets start going in.

Knapp Time thank you! Some major changes coming over the next weeks… starting to come together. Thanks for watching!!!

I’m so glad to know what those things are called (pocket holes). I’ve assembled quite a few Sauder Woodworking furniture pieces in the past, and some have pocket holes, and I never knew that’s what they’re called!

One question from a view videos ago, regarding the electrical outlets in the bunks — I notice one is situated higher in the bunk space than the other. I’m guessing there’s a reason for that? My slightly OCD self (baritone at heart!) is trying to picture how the mattress will fit under the lower one, but I’m thinking you probably have a plan?

Thanks for the level of viewing, Ann! We’ll have to go back and review that. Bunk mattresses are about 4-6 inches thick, so it could be an issue.

Cabinets look great, Mike! Go for it…get a 35mm forstner drill bit! You’ll be able to hang cabinet doors all over the bus!
