Making and veneering Arched Top Cabinets for a Back Bar

Visit my web site –
This revised video shows the process involved in making arched top cabinets for the Art Deco themed bar at Cafe Aroma in Idyllwild, CA. Pete Holzman, Designer and Custom Furniture Maker. It includes construction of the arches and the veneering process, using Anigre veneer, an African hardwood. Phil, Hubert and the staff at Aroma were a joy to work with and I think the final result shows it. The room itself was remodeled and reconstructed by Aaron Minken, also of Idyllwild, CA. Interior Design by Emily Roosien.

I enjoyed your video but had to mute the volume to get rid of that screeching noise in the background.

Great job.
I’d have to say that I’m unfamiliar with 5-ply 3/4″ Baltic Birch, though.

I admire your work and workshop in the middle of the green.

Very interesting video. The process and the end result are cool.
I really hate it when someone starts sniping about someone’s video. There is no need to tell someone how they should of done it. Do your own video and post it and hopefully no one will tell you how you should have done it!

Халтура!
На изгибе , от струпцин вмятины останутся !!!
До покраски может и не видно !
Но после того как покрасите, все дерьмо вылезет

FROSTY FRESH - November 24, 2017

I did not plan to make use of this woodworking book, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* but instead curious about it. I had been truly amazed right after trying it. I was seeking to learn more about the art of woodworking, and was not disappointed. I found many topics such as wood types and designing your workshop.

about 8,000 pounds of total clamping force in the vacuum bag? Depending on vacuum drawn.

JgHaverty - March 8, 2018

Not a fan of the timber selection, but I dig the motif and design elements. Well done!
