    RIP Neil Peart

I think you might have cut yourself short on the video not doing well,it was really good and informative and nice to know not to be consumed with making each compartment exactly the same measurements

    SKM 94 - February 18, 2020

    Too good for the plebs

    Jon Perez - February 28, 2020

I think its time for another secret compartment video lol. P.S. your calculator is still where you put it.

Vu Hau - February 18, 2020

I like ALL your videos, regardless of format! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I also really appreciate your level of workmanship. Those cabinets are gorgeous.

onpetree - February 18, 2020

I’ve just become a patreon because I find your videos the most helpful in my woodworking. You are among the top 5 woodworking presenters on youtube. I’ve bought a number of plans of yours and have made your router lift & mini table saw sled so far. Further, I especially enjoy how you make your own tools and approach your woodworking with economy as a major part of your projects. …and I love it that you do not have a CNC, and a 50′ by 100′ shop with $3000 light fixtures. I look forward to your every video!

    Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Make a feature of the silent vids, John. You don’t make “silent” videos, you make ASMR woodworking videos. ๐Ÿ˜‰

karanadon137 - February 18, 2020

Your commentary is always appreciated. Additionally, I always enjoy your audio clips that you add to your concluding “subscribe to my channels” splash screen. It’s always fun to hear what you might throw in there.

KSFWG - February 18, 2020

They’re not too crappy…they’re not too good…they’re juuusssttt riiighttt… (best Goldilocks impersonation that I can muster at the moment)… ๐Ÿ™‚

Joely Joel - February 18, 2020

You: this is too smooth. Ill get used to it. Or fix this one.
Me: just go get another one
You: or i could just get another one
Me: Did we just become best friends?!

David Kirsten Anderson - February 18, 2020

I take my 12″ test block to Home Depot with me when I buy a tape measure. I made sure the test block was accurate with 12″ dial calipers.

Mulligan Farms - February 18, 2020

For the next ‘no commentary’ video, do it in black and white with 1920s piano music. That should really piss them off ๐Ÿ™‚

Heard good things about the Tajima tapes, but am too damn cheap to replace my 40 year old “master” tape that gets used for everything.

T3hJones - February 18, 2020

About the inches, I got an old swedish folding rule with 3 different inch (tum in swedish) scales and 1 meter scale…

steve walker - February 18, 2020

John, I greatly appreciated your discussion of inspiration! Thatโ€™s the sweet spot. Sometimes people donโ€™t see the simplistic things around them. Great video too!

Tjackson Woodworker - February 18, 2020

excellent..I agree with you. Your shop is a reflection of you. What you do reflects who you are. It is not complex. But that is absolutely true. Also, what we make, makes us who we are. Love your videos. Enjoying your work on MakersMob. I think MakersMob is the Netflix for Woodworkers. If you ever want a mini vacay, come to my shop. We can sit back and tell stories.

Jason Weiss - February 18, 2020

I find it crazy that anyone complains about your vids. I’ve seen a few things that I would do differently from time to time, but it never occurred to me to make mention of them because you arent doing anything wrong. I enjoy watching your videos because Ive made a few of the things you have, and its always nice to see different approaches. Keep doing you John.

Bob Clifton - February 18, 2020

John, you will always, always have those who just don’t pay attention and then complain simply for complaining’s sake. Your videos always lay out the process in clearly understandable step whether or not you add commentary. They don’t need to hear things like “here I am picking up my so and so brand circular saw with my right hand”, etc, etc. No amount of commentary will ever make some folks pay attention. In my view your videos are great just as they are with or without commentary. Keep up the excellent work.

Daniel Mitchell - February 18, 2020

Build your cabinets the way “You” want them, I enjoy watching and learning from your videos, and your shop does look better than my kitchen…darn….

Shaun Barrickman - February 18, 2020

I personally like the variety in your videos, commentary or no commentary, the first person beast or detailed instructional. Keep up the good work sir!

BC ElginTex - February 18, 2020

LOL, I didn’t even notice that you didn’t talk on that video. I guess there is enough taking echoing around in my head…

Mickey Downey - February 19, 2020

Itโ€™s ok John. I, for one, appreciate the fact that you still make fantastic, instructive videos that I learn from each and every one. Even the scrap bin vids.
It looks to that a few of my other favorites have stopped making YouTube videos altogether.
Keep up the good work.

Tim Pedzinski - February 19, 2020

Just so you know I watch everything you put out on this and your main channel and I like to hear you talk. After I found you I have gone back and watched many of your older videos. Keep it up. I unjoy your thought process.
